Effective September 1, 2012, SAISD will be moving from a self-funded health plan to TRS-ActiveCare (the state-wide health coverage program for public education employees). For more information, please visit SAISD's TRS-ActiveCare webpage.
San Angelo ISD is committed to providing employees with a comprehensive group health plan. The district is self-funded and able to maintain cost-effective benefit options for its employees. Administration of the plan benefits is provided by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas. For more information about plan options, download the following documents.
Health Plan Options
San Angelo ISD provides three Health Plan options to employees: a base plan, a step-up plan, and an alternate plan available for employees with proof of other coverage. Please see the following Summary Plan Documents for complete plan details:

As BlueCross BlueShield members, SAISD employees have access to the 24/7 Nurseline. The 24/7 Nurseline puts you in touch with caring, registered nurses who understand your health concerns.
