The Risk Management office is responsible for the planning, direction and coordination of the district's insurance and wellness programs to control risks and losses.
Voluntary Student Insurance
Voluntary Student Insurance - San Angelo ISD offers parents the opportunity to purchase accident and/or health insurance coverage for their child or children. The Accident coverage may be purchased for 24-hour or school- time only and/or for students who play high school football. The Health insurance offers coverage for sickness and accidents, excluding interscholastic sports. If you are interested in either protection, you may print the brochure below or contact you school business office for a copy. Employee Health Plan
San Angelo ISD is committed to providing employees with a comprehensive group health plan. The district is self-funded and able to maintain cost-effective benefit options for employees. Administration of the plan benefits is provided by a third party administrator.

Workers’ Compensation
The district participates in an Interlocal Agreement to provide workers' compensation benefits through a modified self-funded program. All on-the-job injuries are to be reported immediately to the employee’s supervisor or directly to the Risk Management office or the Human Resources Department.
Property, Casualty and Liability Insurance
The district purchases insurance on a fully-insured basis to provide coverage for the district’s assets.
Wellness Program
The district is committed to the well-being of employees and offers services through a wellness program. In addition to the preventive, well-care and disease management programs provided through the employee health plan, the wellness program offers ongoing activities to enhance and promote healthy lifestyles, both physically and mentally.
